FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have a kitchen or prep area for us to use?

We do not have a dedicated kitchen or prep area, any last minute prepping will need to be done inside the venue, or outside at the grill station during the setup time.


Is there any way to cook at the Lightbox Events Center?

We have a covered large bbq grill station located outside next to our patio. All you have to do is supply your own charcoal.


Can we set up the day/ night before our event?

Sometimes, it depends if there is an event booked at that time, but it is not guaranteed. For more elaborate decorations we recommend renting the venue for the whole day, as it will give you or your decorator plenty of time to do their magic.


Are the time slots firm?

Our time slots are firm. It gives the Lightbox Events Center the availability to book more than one event in one day.

Can we add on more time to our time slot?

Yes, you can book additional hours to your time slot at an additional $100 per hour.


What does the clean up consist of?

During your lease time you are responsible to clean up. Everything you bring into the venue must be removed at the end of your lease time. If you drop it, it must be picked up. If you spill it, it must be wiped up.


What if we don't want to clean?

You can hire the Lightbox Events Center to clean up after your event for an additional $100.


Can I bring in my own food and beverage?

Yes, you can use the caterer of your choice or "DIY" (Do It Yourself) for that personal touch!. You are fully liable for everything and anything that goes on and what you bring in during your time slot. (Excludes Alcoholic Beverages).


Is there any coverage on the patio?

During the summer months we have a sun shade sail set up over the patio, and is only good if it's not raining.


Is the set up and clean up time included in my time slot?

Yes, an additional 1 hour for set up and 1 hour for clean up.

Do you offer catering?

At the moment due to the shortage of staff, we do not provide a full catering menu, only a limited menu is available that consists of appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, of which we can do half trays, full trays and mixed platters. We also provide a cooked-to-order appetizers bar menu from which guests can order food if in the event there is no food being offered at the event.

Do you decorate?

We do not offer decorating, but can provide you with a few decorators that have experience decorating at our venue, and are reasonably priced.

How much does a decorator usually cost?

Usually its about $500 for something like a backdrop setup, to $1500 for a more elaborate full venue decoration.
